Lonely Moonby davidbedardComment: Beautiful colors in this. Having so much of the trees at the bottom distracts a bit from the moon (which I wish were in better focus). Perhaps try this with a little different crop, say, oh, about an inch or so off the bottom. Just my opinion, but I think that would have bumped it up a couple of points. |

Carby ecko313cheerComment: Background is too busy. Perhaps if the car had been in an empty parking lot (not likely, I know) or against a grassy hill or smooth faced building this would have fit the challenge better. |

Abstractby redneckbondComment: Not sure where I should be looking. I find my eye pulled by the shadows and lines as much as by the bright spot in the bottom left. |

Flower Powerby AlbireoComment: Seems to meet the challenge description, but the dried stems (vines?) are distracting and take some of the focus from the dandelions. |

Snail's Paceby 4scoreComment: Meets the challenge definition beautifully. Would like to see a little more light on the snail, and maybe a little less blue - even his body has a blue cast to it, and I don't think I've ever seen a blue snail!! :) |

Theory of Relativityby flip89Comment: This is a beautiful shot, but I'm not sure where to look.... there's too many choices for me to sort through as to what the main subject is. Water seems a little oversaturated, even though it's a beautiful color. |

Running spiderby SpirievComment: Unfortunately this is one of those shots that really doesn't 'speak' to me. I don't like the overall hue - I would have preferred this in color or in a less purply B&W (keep in mind that my monitor may differ from yours). The highlights on the right hand side distract from the spider, and while I know it's difficult to capture them sometimes, the spider would have been much clearer had you been able to catch it sitting still. |

Sneaking a Peakby Nikolai1024Comment: Interesting idea, but none of it is really clear and in focus. This might have worked a little better for me if she had been in a different position or doing something rather than just standing with her back to the door. |

What is in the darkby jigglebugComment: OK. This is interesting. Not my cup of tea, but interesting. Don't really feel that it meets the challenge, though. Too much detail in the subject's immediate background that pulls the eye away from the subject. |

The Headless Horsemanby rayg544Comment: I would have liked to see a little more, or a little less detail in the statue. As it stands, there is just enough detail visible to be distracting. Also, the statue looks a little out of focus, but this may be a compression/resizing issue rather than a true 'focus' issue. |
