Fall by arnitComment: Now this is very nice, very sophisticated, very 'fashion magazine' to me. The lighting and pose are perfect for this shot. Use of a natural (and very pretty) background is a huge boost for this photo - it would have looked good as a studio shot; it's great as it is. Very well done. 10. |

Sophisticatedby hopperComment: Would have been better for me had she been holding the glasses in her hand (or possibly with one of the ear-pieces in her teeth) rather than wearing them. There's a lot of glare from the lighting across the top and lenses of the glasses.
Also, have a care for the background - the light colored bit at the top right is distracting.
I like the softer focus, and the pose is ok (except for the note about the glasses). I like that you've been able to preserve her skin tones and hair-color well (not always easy to do with redheads). |

Simple fashionby TOYComment: The only thing I don't like about this is that there is no separation from the background. All the black blends together, and there are no details in the black to suggest where he leaves off and the background begins, so that what we are left with is a (very sexy) floating head and pair of hands. |

Fashion Princessby ADGibsonComment: Love the idea, beautiful model, good lighting, good separation from the background, excellent skin tones, love the smile, love the fact that she's not trying to do the 'look down your nose at all the little people' expression or the 'look at me I'm the most gorgeous thing in the room' sneer.
What I don't particularly care for is the placement of her hands. Both hands tugging down on the dress, or both slightly pulling up on the dress (slip?) would have worked better for me. As it stands, the hands throw off the vibe of the pic.If you were to crop the pic just at the hips (even though it's be slightly awkward with _no_ hands), what you get is a very relaxed, casual, 'I'm having fun' feel to the photo. As it's cropped now, with the hands as they are, it's more of a 'this is kinda fun, but I'm a little uncomfortable, and what do I do with my hands' sort of feel. |

_I Feel Pretty..._by ArtysteComment: The more I look at this, the more it looks like it was taken backstage at a drag show. Which of course just screams 'Fashion!' to me. :) Have to say that the lighting on this is great, and the blue eyeshadow really brings out the blue in your eyes. The title is just perfect for the shot.
(Oh, and by the way, this has been critiqued as "That's just silly!" by a six-year-old photography critic. Higher praise you cannot get!) |

high contrastby anotherdayComment: Interesting choice for a high contrast shot. Fits the challenge topic quite well. Crop is a little tight on the left. Details are crisp and clean. |

The Fashion of the Suspiciousby saphireComment: OK. It's a street shot. The fellow on the right is closest, so it seems as though he should be the subject, but he is out of focus (as is the rest of the photo). Two other points: I don't get the connection between 'dressed for the cold' and 'suspicious', and the lighting certainly does nothing to indicate that anyone in the photo is, or should be, suspicious of anything. Sorry, but I just don't see the connection between the title and the photo, or the photo and the challenge. |

Sparkly feetby CreativeFlyPhotoComment: Interesting as an abstract shot of current fashion. Love the brightness of the colors and the whimsy of the photo. |

Lucky-The Secretaryby modprodComment: Background is a little distracting. Shadows are very harsh - perhaps a fill light or reflector to lighten them up a bit. The pose is kind of blah - it says to me 'take the picture already' instead of 'look at me - I'm a fashion model!'. The colors are good, and the skin tones are nice - not too much yellow or red and not washed out. Mostly, I think the problem with this is that it's too 'busy' - a simpler background would do wonders for this as far as 'punching up the imapct value' goes. |

piazza sempioneby kiwinessComment: Other than her pose looking a little forced, I like this. Having one leg bent under like that just isn't flattering, and it looks uncomfortable. |
