Wear a belt - or wear a tag

Interesting composition. The written tag helps to see that the decision of this driver was fatal. Very nice message. I would definitely think of trying to send this one to a mag for a message about safety belt usage.

My Nation

I'm sure the lack of focus was a creative choice. As a piece of art, I'm still not sensing a viable image. Photographically the out of focus damages the message, and as a piece of art I don't feel an emotional response. The best I can come up with is that the colors represent your nation, and the out of focus represents your lack of belief in that nation.

The picture is very strong. Good detail and placement of subject. I'm not sure I see a decision here.

Thanks for the humor. You can always grow it back. I like the back and side lighting here. Very nice job.

I think an additional light on the board would have helped the shot meet its full potential.

I almost shot one like this, but changed my mind because I couldn't get the light right. You did a good job of lighting, and the tulle sleeve adds great texture to the subject. Thanks for showing me the way I should have shot mine.

which die
by oldbimmercoupe

Comment:
Not an easy subject to shoot. There is a lot of extraneous items asking for attention here. I don't know much about printing or dies, but if the item on the top is a radio it doesn't help to keep ones attention focused on the dies. Simplifying would have helped. Remember, what you know of your subject, and what the rest of us know is worlds apart. Its like writing poetry. Mine is too detailed, so everybody that reads it says there is too much information, which weakens the poem.

Color is really too pink. Indoor shots with no flash always end up with an orange cast, then when you try to color correct, other problems occur. If you have a white balance function on your camera, sometimes just changing that will help to color correct enough so that when you edit you can get more natural skin tones.
