I understand the meaning of the treadmill, but I am not sure if those who haven't read the book will get the meaning. As a photo, your treadmill was definitely well lit and contrast is great. The petals are a nice touch. 6

Your sky is wonderful. The background hills are beautiful, and your contrasts are very nice. The actual grapevines are very hard to make out. They are really overwhelmed by the stacks holding them. 6

Funk Zone

Really liked this image. The geometrics created a very nice balance. Especially liked the red square on the lower right. I can see why you were attracted to this composition. Thinking maybe it would present better if you cloned out the electrical cord around the window and the air conditioner sticking out below it, or maybe keeping the air conditioner but painting the black part white, as a contrast to that wonderful shadow created by it.

Great saturation on this one. I like the minimalism created by the limited subject on the left. It does look like a hand and finger telling a child to come along. The one thing I find distracting is the bright triangle of light. Still, it was well composed and somehow comforting to look at.

Not familiar with the book. As a photo, there was a lot of unbalanced light. Also it was out of focus. To remedy the problems, use a tripod if you didn't, adjust white balance a bit better when you take the shot, and there may be a filter that would have done better at balancing the light, maybe neutral density.

What a classic. Loved that book. Too bad you couldn't get the engine moving through a landscape. Still I give it a 7 because the setting was in need of more thought.
