I think the image may have too much high key for the subject. The seasonings don't really stand out as seasoning. It looks kind of like raisen bran. Anyway, clearer and more defined would have been a help, and maybe a little green mixed in to make it look more like seasoning.

Nice clear capture. Great detail on the wings, even though the heron was in flight. Good color treatment, too. Really shows the lovely blue gray of the heron.

Nice postcard style. I would like to see more saturation and perhaps a bit brighter, but it truly is a stunning composition.

Lighting seems very uneven on this one. An exposure compensation in post processing would have let you lighten the trees and bushes without disturbing the nice whites of the building and fence. Overall a pleasing composition.

Sunset on Block Island

The sky is really colorful. Love that part of it. The lower part of the image, though, is really showing a lot of artifacts, probably due to an image that started out very underexposed. Need to either try a longer shutter speed, or maybe a higher iso, though that can create artifacts too. If you have an express fix on your program, that might also create artifacts. Brightness and contrast adjustments seem to work better, along with dodging. You might also try to spot edit some of the artifacts out, or maybe apply a noise reducer to clear it up.
