Not the most interesting composition. The syrup seems to not really work to create the silky smoothness you need for a successful image.

I think you created the image by using too much noise reduction. This made a falsely smooth image which doesn't really cut it for me.

Focus is too soft for me. Also, some light shining off of the petals to create a glow would have added a bit to the image. Getting an almost sparkle gold shimmer would have brought this more in line with silky smooth. Could possibly have done it with artificial light.

Needs better focus. Also, an image like this would have done better if it had been out in the light with the sun shining off of the silky fur.

Love this. Too bad it has the grain. That steals from the idea of silky smooth. Maybe you could have used a tripod (if you didn't) with a longer exposure.
