IMHO this picture does not lend itself to our 640 pixel world. I'm guessing that those distracting white dots in the background are birds. In a larger print or a 35 mm slide presentation, that would be obvious. IMHO (again!), you would have been better to zero in on the birds in the foreground. There are enough that they could have carried the picture and the concept.

I really like the subject matter, the tones, and the composition of this picture, but I don't really get any feeling of "busy" except for the fact that the boat is being worked on. It seems as if whoever is being "busy" is off on a break and therefore, the antithesis of busy.

I think you have a good idea here, but those colored speckles in the top of the lantern really distract me -- they remind me of the sprinkles they put on donuts, and I doubt that's the effect you intended. 8)
