I really like your DOF. I've never noticed the beautiful "wrapping" texture in the bud of a California poppy. My only suggestion would be to get the whole bud in the shot -- as I recall, they come to a neat point which would add some more visual interest (IMNSHO). Maybe put the bud on the diagonal? Lovely colors and forms in the background.

IMNSHO, this would benefit from cropping a lot off the top and giving the shot a more landscape format. There isn't much of interest going on in the upper third of the shot, whereas that skull is killer. I want to see more of it.

I really like this shot and the processing. IMNSHO, you could crop off a lot of the top and tighten up the composition. I really like the diagonal line of the beam in the upper right, but other than that, there isn't anything going on in the upper third of the shot. 7

This is a matter of personal taste, but I'd like it better if she didn't have hair in her face. Also, the grain is pretty heavy in her skin tones.
