Portrait of my kitchen windowby monhComment: For a still life, I really like this shot. The window frame frames the photo nicely and the shadowed fruit looks very nice. I'm not sure if it's the kind of landscape the voters will be thinking of, but I like the composition of this shot. |

Autumn in Norwayby Ice-Tea-1983Comment: Very nice colors! Composition is ok. The trees seem slightly soft or out of focus. That does lend a certain impressionistic feel to this shot, if that's what you were going for. I might suggest cropping out some of the top--the overcast sky is a little distracting because it's so bright and draws the eye away from the nice colors you've captured in the trees. |

Houston Woods Butler Countyby Crafty SueComment: I like the composition of this shot...but some of the colors seem unnaturally bright to me. The trees on the left have something of a blue tinge to them. I like the picnic table in this shot...makes me want to pack a lunch and go hiking :-) |

The thirsty landby KarendtComment: It's nice to see this kind of vegetation in a landscape for this challenge. The lines of the horizon look nice, but I might have composed the shot with more land vs. sky because the sky is so overcast. Good colors and nice wide angle. |

Fading Autumn Colorsby jsasComment: You have some lovely colors here! I might have tried getting a little closer to the trees, or perhaps shooting up the hill (on the right of the photo). I think being a little closer might help the colors to really stand out in this shot. |

broken but beautifulby fire_and_iceComment: Very interesting subject! I like the broken tree. The lighting seems a little bit harsh on the tree, giving it a kind of yellow color and washing out some of the detail. I also like the busy background behind the tree...brings another layer to the photo. |

What a Viewby Peshaw-99Comment: Did a good job keeping the horizon straight! There seems to be a bit of noise in this photo, distorting it slightly. |

suns raysby mat15lComment: I really like the sky in this photo! There seems to be some odd distortion going on...I can see small cube sections in the photo (perhaps from compression?) The light from the sun looks really nice in the clouds. I might crop out the bit of land at the bottom of the photo and focus more on the horizon in the background. |

The Tracksby nuzzo_22Comment: There are some good lines in this urban landscape. The lights at the top of the picture are a little bright and distract me a bit. The track leads your eyes nicely all the way through the photo. |

Millenium, Londonby lucienawComment: Very nice colors in this photo. There seems to be some distortion (maybe from compression?) and a little bit of noise in the sky. The lights on the bridge and the skyscrapers look nice. I might suggest (if you do a reshoot) moving the photo a little bit to the right to bring the bridge support farther to the left and away from the center of the pic. |
