great capture, though backlighting is problematic (flash might have helped) and there is a slight loss of detail/sharpness in the bird.

you could have cleaned up the spots in the glass under advanced editing. Not sure how well this alternative take will do! I'm afraid that I am not convinced, though I like the idea.

more "beak of an emu" - greater DoF with beak and eyes in focus might have been more interesting.

not sure about the central composition with the eyes so high - they are sidelined, and the body is too soft to be a central ofcus point. I would have tried cropping to the rule of thirds if possible from the frame.

this has a strange quality about it - a bit like a video still, rather than a picture. Feels a bit low on detail, or interpolated. Sharp on beak, but not quite around trhe eye, etc.
