Dead Sea Sunsetby XileboComment: Back in my film days I took a load of pics of this subject, then realised when the sun had set that I had used a black & white film...
Nice image. Square/Portrait doesn't shout postcard, but I like the text. Image is a nice silhouette, but I think that at least part of it needs to be a bit brighter: you could add this in using photoshop, or achieve it using graded filters at the time of the exposure. |

The Kid (2006)by pawdrixComment: Great contrast in expression Steve - nice shot! Maybe crop some of the RHS (no-one is looking into that space and you may be wasting the power of the RHS in your composition). |

green amongst greyby redmoonComment: I was there taking pics over the w/e! Next to Lloyds building.
Nice image - though I am not sure about the blurring effect (at these limited dimensions, it looks a bit like a series of jpeg smoothing artefacts). Well done on top 30 though!

water_feature.jpgby KaveranComment: I am not sure that your PP skills will get a tremendous more out of this shot. I think that a reshoot could do wonders, however. The interesting bits if the scene are the moving water, the shapes in the rocks.
The plant on the left distracts, and the fence looks awful as background. The light (critical in photography) is not great - you have burnt out highlights where the midday sun is falling - try shooting in the early evening or morning, when the light might be better.
I would recommend getting in closer to the subject matter, experimenting with some different shutter speed settings (think about using a tripod for slower speeds), and looking for interesting shapes in the rocks.
Good luck! |

Rain Protectionby ArtanComment: This is really good - but as sevildurci said, a fractional rotate and crop (or some cloning) would clear up the top right. |

Gherkin-by ArtanComment: I have this same shot!! But you managed the colour much better than me (will post it shortly). I wondered whether a fractional further sharpening might be in order? |

LLoydsby ArtanComment: Great abstract, but I'm not sure that I like the inversion - it makes me feel queasy! |
