Misty Day (Li River, China)by jbsmithanaComment: I've been there! Mine is not a fantastic image, but here is one of my snaps (it mirrors the 20 yuan note).
Great place - shame your horizon is a bit off and parts of the sky look a little overexposed and parts over-burned. Message edited by author 2007-01-26 06:16:49. |

Birds Of Preyby 3DsArcherComment: Great capture - I don't know whether you could have cropped to focus on the bird with prey and have excluded the overexposed one. |

Baalbeck...City of the sunby des_carComment: One of may favourite places - it is hard to imagine the scale here (though I know it to be huge beyond belief). I think that the temple of Bacchus behind it is more photogenic! |

Soldierby island_girl1Comment: That looks a bit like one of GWB's expressions!! I like the angle on this. Good tonality. |

EYE TO EYEby geohunterComment: For this kind of shot, it might pay dividends to find a more "perfect" model - contact lenses and the injury don't help this image. |

Venus di Miloby EstimatedEyesComment: Ooh - looks busy! Not sure I like the crowd, though I see what you are trying to achieve.
Image is oversharpened (see the jaggies on the statue's side) and parts are overexposed (shirts of some of the viewers).
A shallow depth of field might have worked well here to keep the focus on the statue and keep the crowd in the background - IMO, you need the impression of a crowd more than the distracting detail. |
