There's a real gothic feel to the building here, but the sky is contrastingly so flat. Yes, I realize that it is yet one other facet of high contrast to the shot, but in this particular image, it doesn't work well for me. Everything about the building is great.

Looks like a great idea and could have been really great, but it looks like too much neat image smoothed over many of the details that would have made this image more interesting. Not a bad shot though.

Very cool idea. Not sure it is all it could be though. I think a lot of detail/focus is lost (not sure if it's due to the original or the crop) and I think maybe the upper portion of the image is a bit too washed out. Yes, I know this is supposed to be high contrast (and it is very contrasting), but something just isn't quite clicking for me personally. Wish I could be more specific - maybe it's just my taste. Still, not a bad shot.
