Running In Snowby loriprophotoComment: Horses + Snow = Magic... Great capture. A tad OOF (agree with Calamity), but not very noticeable - easily chalked up to motion blur (positive element). :-) This looks like Blaze, a horse I grew up with. The bush in the background really adds a lot to this image - the starkness against the warm softness of the animal. Very nice shot. |

Christmas Pastby missinseattleComment: Don't let the low score get you down. I think that the fact that a lot of viewers didn't immediately get the "collection" connection hurt your score, as it's a good shot. I like the B/W and composition. The bright spot on his beard is a little distracting, but I think if you turned up the contrast and burned a little here and there, you could make him pop a lot more. :-) Good shot. |

Two For the Southby missinseattleComment: Nice composition and natural color tones, but looks like there were some significant issues when saving for the Web (pixelation/compression artifacts/etc.). Too bad, because it looks like it is probably a really good shot. Would love to see a clean version of it. |

Morning lightby suemackComment: This is beautiful... I love the extra little sparkle on the dewdrop - very nice touch (polarizer?). The spiderwebs also really add to the delicate nature of the shot. Really spectacular photo - the more you examine it, the more you are drawn in. |

In the darknessby Canadian_ehComment: Cool shot - too bad about the size, as I'm sure it did hurt your score. Funny about it not coming off too! LOL Trust me, I think we've all got stories about the lengths we've gone to to get a DPC shot! Good job! |

gone fishinby Canadian_ehComment: Nice close-up of the heron! I also wonder how you got so close! ;-) I might consider cropping a bit more off the right to take him out of the center and still leave him somewhere to go on the left, but good shot. |
