Very industrial, for sure. There seems to be some extraneous space at the bottom that could be cropped out IMHO, but otherwise I like the use of grain & B/W - gives it an older age feel/mood. Nice capture.

I like the lines in this shot, but this has the same "splotchy" appearance that Aphrodite has. Almost like it was a night photo. Interesting choice of color tones for finishing on this shot - especially since it's a place of worship. I would normally associate this particular shade with something more sinister, so it makes me wonder if you were/are trying to say something else with this shot. And personally, anytime I get a viewer to think or feel something, I feel like I've been successful. :0)

Gorgeous!!! Fantastic colors and silhouettes. My only nit is the line (road? sidewalk?) you can faintly see in the dark portion at the bottom of the shot. Any way to burn the whole bottom portion to essentially black it out? I think that might allow the viewer to concentrate completely on the spectacular scene you captured.

The gull & the sky are amazing. I'm not particularly crazy about the other elements of the shot - they're not bad, it's just that they pale in comparison (IMHO). The bird is really terrific. Great capture.

This is really nice. Good sharp focus & natural color tones. I'd probably consider cropping more off the bottom so that the pool of water reaches the bottom of the frame (removing the wall and rocks that are a bit of a distraction). Nice capture.

Great leading lines & perspective. The tilt of the horizon and the utility pole are distractions for me though. Any way to crop the pole out and straighten it a bit? I think that would improve the shot a lot. Nice capture.

This is nice. I like the colorful sky and the fencepost silhouette. I would probably crop it a bit more from the bottom though, using the rule of thirds for the dark portion. I think that might improve the overall composition. Nice capture.

Personally, I like this image, but the graininess has an unusual appearance. It almost looks splotchy. I love the pose and would enjoy seeing different crops and finishes as well. I think this has a lot of possibility & potential, but was perhaps not best suited for the square crop challenge.
