Terrific use of focus/DOF. Interesting that you chose to exclude your face & expressions from the shot - but I guess that's not entirely true. Your smile is somewhat akin to the Mona Lisa's, leaving the viewer wondering what you are actually thinking. Well done.

This is why rules are made to be broken: Go ahead and center your composition. Give it a strong dark vignette. Blow out the highlights and deaden the dark areas.

You've created an imaginative, infinitely moody, lonely image that beckons the viewer. Outstanding work... I love it!

A little blurry and the tonal range could use a little oomph, but your eyes still carry the emotion right through the page to the viewer. What an incredible connection to the camera.
