I really like this... It gives an inordinately vivid impression of a tortured/torn soul - someone who is trapped between who they are and who the world thinks they are supposed to be.

In retrospect, I would have given this a 10. You introduced me to these magfnicently beautiful birds with this terrific shot. I love the colors, POV, focus/DOF, and composition. This is one of those images that just haunts me (and has continued to do so since the challenge). I remember it vividly at all times. I'm not sure what else can be said to express my impression of this shot. I love it.

The focus seems to be on the forefront of your hair and jean jacket collar rather than your eyes here, but the range seems to include just enough of your eyes to make it work. Lovely tones and comp. Good emotion too.
