Yes. Way too many - like an invading hoard of ants! This works for me - the DOF, tones, composition; I like. POV could have been slightly lower but thats just a nitpick. 8 cause I think you did well.

pretty. And they are real tacks! Good abstract shot. Would have liked a slightly better focus or DOF but the composition and colors work. 7 from me!

poor dead turtle. Where are the tacks? ;) Interesting image. Focus is good. The white tack stands out - maybe a different color would lessen the focus on that particular tack. 7 for now, may bump later.

Ouch! I like your foot better than the other one I saw but there are no tacks in this image. ;) So, did the person scream? What, they didn't put their foot down?! I really like the lighting and think the composition works. The drapes in the upper right are a little distracting but the focus and POV are excellent. 8 may bump later.

Why is he so angry? At least you got TACKS in here! I think the background would be better if it was flat rather than textured. The texture detracts from the important part of the image - the tacks. Great job finding a smiley face tack! 7 for the creativity.

There are no tacks in this image. ;) That blob of gum is gross. I hate scraping it off my shoe. Couldn't imagine getting it stuck on my head. The detail in the stretched part of the gum is excellent. I think the DOF could have been a little larger to get everything more in focus. Composition works well. 7 from me. Good luck!

Simple and to the point - the way I love my tacks. The reflection is bizarre. Can't decide if I like it or not. The focus is spot on - DOF could have been just a hair larger to get the tip of the tack in focus. 8 from me!

Finally! Real tacks! ;) I think using the grater is a great idea for texture. I may use that in the future if you don't mind. Is that cheating? I think it might have been better the crop out a little more of the left side but pretty cool the way it is. Like the lighting. The focus is a touch soft. 8 for the originality and teaching me a new use for a grater. Thanks!

Okay, I am not going to mark you down for having a political bobblehead. That is a personal choice made outside DPC. And you did use a really tack. Unfortunately, there is only one and the challenge called for TACKS. ;) Pretty good capture. Focus is not the best but the background is not overwhelming. Composition simple and stright forward. 7 frome me! good luck!

Wow! This is so cool! The only problem I see is that there are no tacks in this image. ;) Really well done. Where did you get the giant tacks? Wish the DOF would have covered the slightly out of focus planetoid. But the capture of the light 'star' on the green pin makes up for it. You've managed to capture some depth in the individual tacks - you can see they are rounded rather than flat as in a lot of the other images. Good work! 10 from me!
