Incredible capture. Excellent DOF, POV, clarity. Thats the word that sticks in my head for this image - clarity. The only thing I think could improve this shot is if the bird took a minute to look at you rather than swallowing the flower or whatever he is doing. But that's his fault, not yours! The detail on this is amazing and I can't wait to find out what lens you used. Great job! 8, may bump later.

excellent capture. Love the lighting/shadow. As a rule I hate white backgrounds in images. However, your blues have overcome the white and they work together for a nice balance. bumping to 9.
