Just The Three Of Usby Mr_PantsComment: I think the DOF and POV are great for this shot. The image as a whole is rather dark and could be improved with greater contrast, maybe moving your white point in levels in PS. |

Fun In The Sunby BrianRComment: Great take on the challenge. As far as the image goes, I think it is a little clutters. The tree interferes with a clear view of the kids. If you have moved to the left to have the water as a backdrop, I think it may have much improved the image. Seems the lighting was harsh at the time the image was taken. Hate the sun sometimes! Good luck in the challenge! |

fish familyby speaseComment: Interesting take on the subject. I think this image would be improved by showing more of the fish - they are your subject but seem to be mostly hidden. Considering this is done through glass - very well done. Good luck in the challenge! |

Empty Nestorsby whatdewucComment: While the scene is pretty I think it suffers from over sharpening artifacts. Like the crisp white against the blue. the texture of the water is well done. |

many offspringby benlenzComment: While watching fireworks is interesting, a photo of fireworks is not, unless you include something of reference. The most successful fireworks shots show something with them - a skyline, a family shillouette, a building - something that references a sense of place. With regard to the photo itself, the image captured is in focus and sharp - very well done considering the difficulty. Good luck in the challenge! |

Basement bluesby lytaComment: I like the image, I like the tones. I don't like the general blur on the image (gothic glow maybe?). Will comment more after viewing on a CRT - sometimes the LCD makes things look funny.... Okay, I'm viewing on a CRT. Didn't make much different. Still love the tones used but the laundry basket has no detail and the blown part of the washer really forces my attention there. The best detail is the coats hanging in the back. 6 - good luck in the challenge! |

Outing with grandpaby lastefComment: well composed portrait. Love the look on the girls face. Love the way the eyes are focused on different things and not staring at the camera. Color tones work well. 9 - good luck in the challenge! |

Family Games at the Cabinby dwterryComment: While a great capture I don't think the sepia tones add to this image. I would have liked to see it in B&W or even a slightly darker tone than it currently is. This tone kinda sucks the life out of it for me. Great focus good balance and composition. Good luck in teh challenge! 6 |
