I definitely would have submitted this one. Would have gotten at least an 8 with me. The color adds infinitely more depth than the B&W. If I had the mode and opportunity (isn't that always the case) I would do a series - adding more and more paint in different positions. This is so cool. Okay, make it at least a nine if only for the possibilities. :)

Beautiful image. The disparity between the smooth, ultramodern glasses and the aged skin is great. The echo of the blacks in the background and the lenses works very well. the crop composition POV DOF and toning are excellent. I must give you a 10.

I'm not sure if putting a person in this image was the right choice. I think if you were going for the grunge look, similar to Joey's, you need to try a little harder as this just does not do it for me. I think you should stick to photographing fields and clouds... HA! excellent work as always. Especially telling is the expression you captured so well.

This is so sad. No, I know its not really, but your toning, composition, POV, DOF all work with the title to give the image the emotion I think you were looking for. I can actually believe this bird is depressed and lonely. If only more people would see the relationship of a good title and an image that goes with it! 10. Very well done.

Though maybe not planned, I really like the fact that the front duck in the water is 'looking' at the camera. For me at least, it really adds to the image. Colors, crop, DOF and POV all great. 8 - good luck in the challenge. BTW- sense of humor helps too. :)
