Framing the Sunriseby Shutter-For-HireComment: Good job getting down and dirty with this angle! The saturation may be just the tiniest bit too much, but the colors are beautiful. Strong lines and great perspective. |

a old sailor's benchby Golgo13Comment: Get lower for this shot! It will make the bench apear larger, it will get the whole bridge to fit in the frame, and it may also minimize the bench's shadow. Beautiful spot. |

backstopby undieyatchComment: Great concept! It just needs to be straightened up a bit. Also, a touch of fill flash with an overall contrast boost in post might work well here. The BG and the backstop itself kind of run togather as is. |

The Bench Where Time Stood Stillby hotpastaComment: Nice! The tilted perspective adds drama to an already frantic scene. I'm not sure about leaving the color around the top, it almost seems like a distraction. Beautiful and well done, but still distracting. I would have just relied on the strong lines and motion blur in this photo to draw attention to the subject. PC lens or blured in post? Nice effect either way. |

benchmarksby posthumousComment: There's a simple elegance in this. It almost appears 2D, but the curled metal part at the top brings in a bit of depth. |

Simple Restby robinssongComment: ...but not so simple processsing! I'm guessing HDR. There are some nice bits. I like the texture and tonality around the fence line, but the overall scene is just too busy mor my tastes. |

Autumn Benchby LydiaComment: There is a point where a tilted perspective adds action to an otherwise static perspective. Then there is a point where the impression is more one of having several dozen helium baloons tied to ones ankle. I'm afraid this is closer to the latter. |

One of Life's Many Benchmarks.by twotkynsComment: Among the overly-contrasty and false color images here, this one does stand out. I love the concept and composition. The contrast and colors work to enhance an otherworldly appearance to this image. |

They sat, He listenedby peterComment: The low perspective creates a sense of inferiority in the viewer. This may be intentional here, but the tilted perspective and the abrupt crop/framing create a disturbing image. My own bias certainly comes into play here, but the overall darkness alongside the afore mentioned elements does create an ominous mood. |

Rest Stop.by jomariComment: A touching candid. Could probably be cropped in a bit. |
