Oil and Water Naturaly Separates

I'm fairly early in the scroll, but this is the third take I've seen on oil/water and I think the best so far. Simple, but a couple of contrasting colors and the reflection to add interest. My only suggestion is that while I like the offset glass, I would have left a little more space on the left than you did.

Great idea. The foreground seems a little oversaturated, or the contrast is a little high, but I like it.

Ohh, I thought about using this idea for a picture for this contest... then I remembered that I can't do the splits :)

nice idea, but the picture is a little crooked and the crop isn't even on the left and right. A little more saturation (for the purpose of yellowing egg yolk) might have been nice, too.

I like the simplicity of the shot, but I would have liked it a little darker so I could see the entire rim of the top of the glass.

Cool idea. However, I think the extras in the photo are distracting rather than helpful. I'm not sure about the grape theme. I also would have used a glass w/o a rim on the top because it minimizes the effect of the layers. Finally, there's a hot spot on the glass from something, probably an artificial light over your left shoulder.
