Lines of Justiceby JusticeComment: You could have done a much better job with the lighting in this photo. It looks like you just grabbed a snapshot with a short exposure and a bright flash, then cropped it to look nicer. The flash ruined this. The bars are way too peaky in the center, and then have a distracting shadow on the back wall. The right lighting can really add to the mood of the photo, and the wrong lighting can ruin it completely. |

Abstract Linesby aussieComment: I would have cropped the bottom up a little higher and had that cornerin the lower right be symmetrical with the top left. Maybe I'm being too picky, but I think it would have made a big difference in this photo. 7 |

The Starting Lineby eaglebeckComment: Alright, I have a pretty good idea who this is submitting this photo. I'm not sure what your deal is dude, but you have been submitting photos for quite a few challenges. You have to at least be picking up better technique as you go. Use it. Your photos seem like you are doing this to be funny. In the event that you are seriously giving this an effort, your angle for the shot is ok. With the lighting and time of day, you could have used the light to your advantage. This just looks like a snapshot. The background is way too distracting, and even with a low cost camera, there should be manual settings as to where you can keep the front line in focus and have the background just be blurred. Also, you can do a better job with your pixelation. This image is way too noisy. Shoot with a higher resolution. Again, if this is who I think it is, you obviously care enough to submit photos, put a better effort into it. It isn't hard to become a good photographer. |

"Toeing" the Lineby graphicfunkComment: I'm really not sure what you were going for here. It looks like the person (you? self -portrait? or model) is stretching naked against a railing, or perhaps having a heart to heart talk with the foot. When I'm voting on a picture, natural poses capture my attention, or an interesting pose. This doesn't appear natural at all. I certainly don't take off all my clothes and stretch out on my railing, so I can't even relate to what was captured. What's going on here doesn't seem interesting. The lighting could have been better. Also, when doing nudes, or having a person close up in the photo, it is much more interesting to see the person from the front, at least the face. Its hard to pull off a photo of a person with their back turned. |

how manyby nialljallenComment: I think you could have caught these lines from a better angle, preferably (at least in my opinion) without the ground view. Its not so much distracting is it is uninteresting. Know what I mean? |

Polyphonic Compositionby jin_tonicComment: I never deduct points because of titles, but isn't polyphonic a number of simultaneous sounds/tones? I'm not getting sound or music from this photo. Its a bit grainy and distorted in the upper right. Nice entry though. 6 |
