Looks like a beautiful area to hike around and enjoy the beach. I would enjoy seeing a panorama of the area to see more of the landscape. I am not very good at landscape photography so I can't offer any technical advice but I can see why you chose this scene to submit in a challenge.

An amazingly sharp image in spite of resizing. Congrats on the blue! Thanks for linking the article. I found it very interesting. I entered this picture in DPC in 2012. Not nearly as good as yours:)
That's what I like about DPC. It pushes us to be better photographers.

We don't get many egrets around here. I was so lucky to see him on a pond and he gave me the opportunity to take his picture. I was surprised how close he let me get and didn't seem to care that I was there. He was obviously concentrating on breakfast! I have always admired your shorebird captures and got I got lucky with this one.
