I am not sure what the voters saw here...this is a sweet shot...your subject is caught on an interesting angle..
the shadows do not distract or remove any key info..so what was expected..I don't know...I guess people like bright colours with their baby shots...emotionally it makes them feel more positive, not more critically aware..

this is a nice shot..I think you got hit by your foacus point..that tree in the foreground just dominates the shot, and unfortunately isn't in focus.
lighting is very nice.

Wow..that is pretty harsh voting. Ok I didn't vote at all...
I think the subject is well captured and quite interesting. Getting a chance to look at it, I think the right side of the frame is hurting you...it draws the eyes away, and emphasizes the tilt in the tree. Now this is straight out of camera, so I think it would be nice to see a tighter cropped version, that is straightened.
A much better shot than your score indicates.

this is evidence that a busy background can work wonders..great shot! I can't help but wondering what happened and why isn't anyone helping her...then I think it is because she is really just taking a break from things..it has been a busy day and she is worn out...ahhh the background!
