Cutieby AJFIComment: I like the background, but the bird is a little to soft for my liking. |

Balance by arnitComment: Lovely capture of a Redshank?? I like the focus and composition of the picture. It's a very photogenic rock he's standing on. |

Construction or Destruction?by mexicoComment: Thanks for the comments, always appreciated!
I was a little disappointed with the results from this challenge. I thought this picture covered the challenge very well, especially the artistic side as I can see an almost watercolour quality to the reflection. It was handheld at 1/40th second which did impact the general sharpness, I agree. Tripod was in the car too!
The construction element was not strong enough in some voters minds which I can accept, but looking through the entries, these voters must have given some very low scores for a lot of other entries as I thought there were a lot of pictures with less of a construction feel about them. Anyway, thanks for your time and I hope you did well in the challenge. |

Red-throated Loon with lunchby jakobsComment: I smell a ribbon, I think. Lovely shot of a beautiful bird with great focus and stop motion. How did you get enough light to shoot this? My camera is grainy at high ISO and I assume you have quite a long lens to have captured this? |

California Quail!by RentrenzComment: Great focus and DOF. I also like the texture of the wood. It's a pity the second bird didn't turn and smile for the camera. |
