Sound of Silenceby zbishoComment: Focus bothers me a bit and the texture of this background. Sorry not totally slamming your shot. The challenge is met well here, and the color is nice. |

Cocaine, Eric Claptonby tbarnbyComment: Neat. I do think your light could of been better or levels adjusted a bit brighter. Good composition. |

Smoke on the Waterby inspzilComment: I like industral shots...just feel this is too lost and I can't see enough detail of the water, lights or the bridge.....pipe line?? Still I love the colors. |

Hello Juhaseila - I loved your portrait shot!! The little girl-!! Just a doll.
Okay the shot at hand. Funny how several of the comments below wanted to be there in your shot. I think you should take that as a very high compliment. I would agree with them, the shot is inviting.
The light is just how it looks. Winter light. Kool.
The color or lack of colors makes this shot feel cold. Perfect.
There is movement of the blowing snow to tie the image together.
Very nice, good focus, action, light. Nice feeling. Nice composition.

FEELS LIKE HOMEby mzanoniComment: Critique Club

Hello there Mzanoni.
Feels like home .....because you travel so much. Road warriors! What a life.
Empty chairs.........lonely!!! SUPER>!
The first thing my eye is drawn to the shadows. That might just be me. I love photos of shadows and this is attractive.
The blue of the seat and the suttle blues in the pillar are very nice. It really sets the mood and feeling of this shot.
I will say the focus is a tad soft......so what? This shot was good and should of scored higher. Like it.

This bicycle really needs oil...by waltomlComment: Critique Club

Hello Waltoml.
This shot fits the challenge.
The light is good.
It's an interesting object with lots of facets in different sizes.
Of course rust is always a good thing to shoot and looks good here.
Here with your shot I think the view or perspective could of been improved. I'm thinking you were trying to shoot down on the wheel from above. This is okay but the crop left the silver > at the bottom. This is a distraction. Is that a wrench? Part of the bike? An error?
I think the focus is fine along with the colors. Maybe they could of been made a bit richer with some level adjustment but they look good to me.
I like the shot. I will say the most detrimental part is the _noise_ in the full image. I'm not too sure why you have this much? Maybe the 100 ISO was just too high here?
