I think what you did with the back lighting is very good. I will have to give that a try it looks good. I love you 'girl' pictures...and this would rated high if he had on less clothes. LOL Just kidding.

Fits The Challenge-Yes, marking of the days, weeks..etc That would be very hard going to work feeling that way. I've been there and done that...hard getting out of bed even when bills are due.
Composition- Good
Background- Okay
My Opinion- I think I'll stick with what I wrote below. A very clever idea [done well] but needed some aged dirt/grafitti or something. I'll also add that the heavy border is a little distracting. Over all it's okay.

My Opinion-I'd say this is a good shot considering what you were dealing with. The lighting is weak but the tones do look nice. I think the focus may look soft because of the poor light. It would of helped to see her eyes. Still not a bad shot.

My Opinion-As usual I'm impressed with the glass on that Sony. Nice clear shot! This is really a pretty b&w. Your focus is perfect. I can only pick on the crop/framing. I don't think the top is attractive. Other then that small detail this is a nice shot. Super pretty tones and focus.

Background-Nice rural area. It looks as if someone is living in the barn?!! Curtians on the window! Amazing how long barns like that can keep standing..years.
My Opinion-I like everything about this shot except for the sundial. I think you've tried to include too much in one shot. I know this because I'm guilty of the same thing. Nice colors, light, depth, clean, clear shot. Nicely done.

Composition-Very nice, pleasing to the eye.
Background-Neat looking but I wouldn't want to be locked in there. You didn't say but it looks like a jail, a secure area of some kind. It also makes me think it's damp, cool and empty. I think the green (slime) adds to this over all creepy feeling.
My Opinion-I like this shot. It's got stlye. Yeah I'm not crazy for the upper left but that could be cropped. Good job.

My Opinion- This shot is just PERFECT. I'm shocked it didn't win a ribbon, but it was very close and voters did recognize how good this was. Like the present winner Good Clean Fun by Connie the movement of the hair in the wind is fantastic. As photographers we have to look for elements like that and not just light, composition or color but movement can be just as important. Here you have gathered all the aspects of a great photo in one shot. Congratulations on wonderful work.
