Nice photo. The mountains are a good balance to the star trails. The colours are good. Image may have benefited from a longer exposure (i.e. longer streaks) and perhaps a bit of an arc to the streaks.

Great effort on a difficult challenge. Would have benefited from something terrestrial to provide some perspective.

Another one that brings back memories of my high school science book. This one is excellent, in that you've managed to capture the earth's rotational axis in the image. Colours are beautiful and the trees provide a good grounding/perspective for the image.

Nice shot. Great title for the image too. The colours are excellent and the shot is well balanced. Great job with such a tricky challenge.

Think I would have preferred a bit longer an exposure to get the stars creating an arc, or a shorter exposure to keep them as points. As it is they look a bit more like a blur... the flare is good though. The trees are more an annoyance than a feature... might have tried painting them with a torch to give them some colour and bring some balance to the image.

This reminds me of the front cover of a science book I had back in high school. Excellent image. Use of the tree to provide a focus and balance to the image is brilliant.

Beautiful shot of the Melbourne skyline at night... and I think I might even recognise the duotones ;)
