great DOF, im recently trying out compositions like this, with a subject in the distance and one close to the camera. Great job, a nice coordinated pic.

As far as composition goes, you did a good job here at achieving good focus and a good subject. However, you overexposed the sky and the snow. Too bright for my taste. Good showing of texture and detail. Try adjusting your camera's white balance to get the sky exposed correctly, even in dull overcast weather.

I love this image because of the composition. You shot this at a good angle, but perhaps 2 or 3 steps to the left might of eliminated those somewhat distracting objects on the right, like the crane. I love the black and white too, you have achieved good contrast here, good lighting.

I also think in a challenge such as this that requires you to show texture, you could of zoomed in a bit. Shoot it at a lower angle so you dont lose your nice sky and you wont lost much water either. great title and definatly above average in image quality.

this does not look like an abandoned building. In this challenge, you should of shown more color and texture..try a closeup or take the photo with better light. this photo is too dark. It seems you tried to capture light with a 15 second long exposure, and it must of been really dark there. It's just too cluttered and hard to decipher what this composition consists of. One thing I like is the frame of a doorway. Whats the light in the upper left right hand corner? it seems to be one of 2 sources of light. The 15 second exposure blew out the light and I know how hard it is to capture light and keeping everything from becoming overexposed, i tend to do it alot myself. Good job at capturing the light though.another thing you have here is a good DOF.

I like this landscape. However in a challenge like Abandoned buildings..where the main criteria for meeting the challenge is to show texture and color, this doesnt work here. But you did score well, due to your great composition. It's a real vibrant photo, cropped real nicely too. Your title fits the subjects well also.

What I think you should of done here, is show more sky and less grass. This would give the photo more of a out of this world feel to it.
