Jacque, I think you did very well with this challenge! Lovely model, lovely pose. I can see a very subtle difference between the dress and the background, but a soft light on the floor going up behind the model in front of the background might provide a bit more separation and depth. Really a very lovely portrait!

Portable Mini-studio (Light Tent)

With any portrait, the thing I look for first is whether or not the photographer captured some "personality" - I'd say you've got that covered! Uh, pun not exactly intended... The expression is priceless, colors are good. Further away from the background would be nice, or a bit darker background to set off the tent more, maybe. Really a very fun shot - nice job!

She looks so serious! I like the lighting, even though some have mentioned "blown" highlights in the dress (which doesn't bother me at all). I especially like the softness you've achieved overall with the portrait, and her skin tones are perfect. The flower also goes nicely with the dress - a very lovely portrait of a lovely young lady!

This is one of those images that some folks simply may not like because it's centered. But I think it works nicely because of the symmetry - and I love the light and the shadow.
