I opened the thumbnails of your portfolio and this one caught my eye right away - I love B&W to begin with and this is an interesting subject, good light, great exposure, and pretty good post processing. Foreground grasses look a little oversharpened, but it doesn't hurt this image. Sky and water in the back are very nice. Texture in the building is well-captured.

This is a GREAT vantage point for a night shot! The composition is excellent. You really should try this again and take it with several differing exposure lengths. Night shots tend to require less light than the camera tells you it needs.

Very, very nice, Robert. Good to see a picture on your top row that doesn't have water or a skiff in it. :-) Note that you received only 2 votes 4 or below - that alone is an amazing stat. Masterfully done from the angle and lighting of the capture to the wickedly complicated post-processing - how do you know when you're done?

I like the composition and color you captured here but I suspect some would have preferred the subject appear as though he knows he's being photographed. I'm sure you probably heard "looks like a candid" a few times. This shot does indeed, though, put the subject in his "environment" and quite the colorful environment it is!
