Swingsby timfythetooComment: I like the composition of this one a lot - like the empty swings and the way you framed the shot with the clouds and such. I like the idea - nice relaxed kind of shot very reminiscent of summer. Sky color seems just a wee bit off - maybe too cyan - but not enough to bother me. |

Mid Airby timfythetooComment: Gave this one a 6 - good clarity, nice stopped motion, nice blue sky. Would maybe like to see more of his face, but the profile kinda works, too. Might be just a bit too centered or have too heavy a "base" - needs a bit more air or sky to really let him "fly". |

Front and Bayby Rae-AnnComment: I can't figure why you didn't enter either. This is a lovely shot - very nice lines and lovely light just on the right side. |

Transportation on the Crest of a Waveby chaliceComment: Wow - this looks like a watercolor! I like it a lot, though I suspect it got voted low because of it. Never matter that, it's a great shot (in my humble opinion, of course) and I suspect it would make a great print. I like that the yellow isn't too yellow and I like the boat in the background to add depth. The colors work very well. Really nifty the way this came out! (And I noticed that at this time you have over 1100 views on your Zen entry - that's pretty nifty, too!)
Heh - just now reading your comment - so it's not just me who thought it very much like a painting. And yes, it does look like she really knows what she's doing. |

seadragon.jpgby KelliComment: These guys are hard to shoot - I've tried. This is a really good shot of one! Excellent clarity and nice subtle deep background color. You might want to clone out that small bright spot on the left hand side. Nice work! |

Caught and Released Manarayby KelliComment: Hi Kelli - sounds like a fun outing! I like the water "stopped" in this one. I do kinda wish I could see the fish better - it's hard to make out his complete structure/form, since I've never really seen one before. Though if he was that big, it may have been hard to get his whole person in there! Even though the cut off foot is a cut off foot, it serves to provide a reference for size - otherwise you'd have no idea how big or little the fish was. |

Fisheye Viewby ericwooComment: Underrated, IMO. Very nicely composed; like the fountains alot - those make this shot stand out from all the other building shots. Colors are quiet and subtle, which could account for the lower score given DPC taste. Looks to be a nice time of day to shoot, too - quiet light. |

Towers of Gold, Feet of Clay by LouisComment: So I didn't have to go far to find yours in this contest. Congrats, dude! Ribbon #1 of many more to follow, I'm sure!
What makes the shot (and I'm sure you already know this) is the gold. It's still be good shot without it, but not as good. Nice use of the ol' fisheye - you're having fun with that, aren't you? Congrats again! Great picture, great finish. |
