This does create an isolated feel, but a calming one, not a disturbing one. I like how the horizon nearly blends with the sky but not quite. Really a very nice shot!

I've truly enjoyed what you've put into this "project" - I really looked forward to both yours and Neil's SPs each day. The two of you seem like marvelously down to earth people, and it's been my pleasure to get to know you a bit better. Looking forward to seeing you again from time to time, too!
