This is a bit disturbing - I'm not a huge fan of spiders - but it's also a very well done photograph. The richness and depth of the apple is quite good and the clarity of the spider is, well, disturbingly good.

As you can tell by the fact I started a thread about benches, I rather like them as subjects. I think JP added some interesting thoughts about what draws us to them in the first place. I like the lighting in this shot - helps create that peaceful sometimes melancholy sense a place like this can give. Pretty good composition, but not being able to see where the back is anchored leaves it kind of hanging in a way. Love the texture of the wood contrasted with the stone, too.
