Venus Risingby IndigoButterflyComment: Very nice depiction of a bright, windy, warm day. If you take this into Photoshop and use levels to darken the darks a bit, it really makes it much richer and stronger. Try it and see if you like it better or not. |

24th October 2006by korpenComment: I really like the composition with the corners cut off and the flag filling the frame. Snow, eh? Brr! Meets challenge well - good shot. |

the callingby robaComment: First impression is that she's holding something long and narrow and about to throw it off into the sea. But I realize she's holding her arms out. Definitely depicts wind well! Since I suspect you set this up, I'd have preferred leaving out the weed in the forground, or chosing something that stood out a bit more from the rocks. Great sea and sky in this, and the touches of color in the trees and the roof on the point add nicely. |

Energy Conduitby RulerZigzagComment: Like the spark trails, though they don't particularly indicate any wind direction since they seem to be flying all over the place. |

Hawthornby stupotComment: Definitely one of those trees that shows the prevailing direction of the wind. Picture itself is a bit on the "washed out" side, though quite often the actual day looks pretty washed out too. |

Canikaze - wind of dogby posthumousComment: Hi Grace. I'm gonna have to go see if that's really a word... it's not (in English, anyway, according to dictionary.com). Maybe dervish? I suspect you're after the dervish behavior of a dog in motion creating a whirlwind of sorts. Whether it meets the challenge or not - well, I suspect mostly "not" - I like the accent of the leash and the way the motion pattern of the ground blends with the fur of the dog. |

autumnby mattforbesComment: I like the wisps of hair to show the fall breeze, but I think you needed to show a tree behind the child as a source of the single leaf. Otherwise it seems a bit oddly out of context to me for some reason. |

Expressing the Prevailing Windby pixelpigComment: Yes indeed it does! Lovely subtle interpretation of the challenge. If you use Photoshop, run an autolevels on this and see if you like the result. It brightens/lightens it up a bit. |
