harnessing windby nootComment: I like how the wispy cloud looks like it's "blowing" at the windmill in a way. Try adding a bit more sharpness to this, then use levels and brighten a bit and see if you like it. The sharpening "crisps" it up and the levels adds a bit of contrast. |

Light houseby ceyvalComment: The black and white helps convey the stormy feeling this imparts, and the bend of the trees in the distance emphasize the direction of the wind. The water in the foreground has almost a painted look to it which is kinda cool! |

Charge!by BlackboxComment: Excellent detail and color - the different angle with the border makes this distinctive from some of the other flag shots. |

Furyby NitinComment: The glimpse of the trees just above the shoreline add to the feeling of the power of the wind here. By the way, this looks great in black and white as well. |

Blowing Awayby karmatComment: Nice color coordination between the young man's clothes and the umbrella, and very nice light to shoot this - especially the way it shines through the front of his shirt to emphasize it "blowing in the breeze". The holding the hat on isn't as convincing as it could be - might have been fun to have the hat flying through the air, but would have been a whole lot more difficult to pull off. |

Windblown Widgetby snafflesComment: Cute! And definitely shows a bit o' wind in the area. In fact his hair is so windblown, you can't tell what the leash attaches to! From a technical standpoint, you may want to apply a bit (or a bit more) sharpening and level the shot so the curb is horizontal. |

blowing awayby annahComment: Lovely setting - very nice red/pink color of the blooms to accompany the red of her hair. |

Ma Nature's Wrathby sniperComment: Definitely meets the challenge as far as showing a windy day! A bit on the not-all-that-interesting side as far as the subject, though it does show an impending storm (at least that's what I see). You can use up to 640 pixels on the longest side - this looks a bit small. If you have questions about how to size a submission, there's a good tutorial under the "Learn" section, or you can ask in the forums and someone will help you out. |

_IGP1900_640X480N.jpgby faidoiComment: LOL! Love the description!! Technicals are great as far as I'm concerned - love the glowy blue look - makes one think that Canadian labeled maple syrup has a slight radioactivity issue. Seriously, though, it's a pretty cool picture! |
