Man's Best Friendby noranekoComment: This is a great shot! I don't know about challenge results and all that, but this is a great shot. They both look like they have such character! I almost wish the bird was a wee bit more in focus (but not totally, by any means) because you can see the hint of a glint in its eye, like he's saying "There he goes again, telling tale tales..." (By the way, I really really liked the one you entered.) |

Lostby Blue MoonComment: Darn near a top twenty but better still, a great score on a great image! Nothing wrong with this at all. I do like the grain - works very well for this. And I like the very tight crop next to the young child with that vast expanse of stairs next to and behind him - it creates a great tension in the photograph. Well done! |

Stair Voyeurby noranekoComment: This was in my top ten. Very nicely seen, love the angle, the light, the processing. Makes you wonder what they're all waiting for, or if they're just enjoying the day. Very well done. |

Travelby xianartComment: He growled? You should have had the beast with you - the beast could have growled back and that would have been that. I love the implication but can't say I'm in love with the desat. I also like how the only dominant word on the shelf itself is "CANADA". |

not in kansasby skewsmeComment: The thing that struck me about this one is the "Please Use Other Door" arrow - the gentleman apparently didn't want to do that (in the little story in my mind, anyway) and wanted to use the door painted on the building instead. Or the arrow should have pointed to that door in the first place. Well seen! |

~ B E N T ~by gocComment: I'm pleased to see this finish well - I was quite worried the "but the bush in the front is out of focus!" crowd might pull it down. Very fine work and a lovely photograph. |

red lightby sevilduvarciComment: The softness of the color and the very crispness of the people make this a very interesting picture to enjoy. |

lonely 2by sevilduvarciComment: Your challenge entry had perhaps more immediate visual impact, but I very much like the view on this one as well. All the elements play well here - I like the symbolic nature of the bridge taking a path to an elsewhere that can only be imagined, not seen. |

Nick was right - Kerry & Edwards were best.by quiet_observationComment: What I like - very nice slice of life shot - makes me think Nick's is probably a good place to get something to eat. Lots to see and take in in the picture (which I like, DPC may think otherwise). What I'd do differently if at all possible - seems a bit too center-oriented, and though there is a balance on the "sides", I find myself wanting to see more of Nick's van to the left of the picture. I like the contrast of the high rise in the background to what looks like an older more sedate and stately kind of architecture in the foreground - and you did a very good job with the exposure to get such even balance in the lighting! |
