by messerschmittComment: I love the difference in textures - each part of the photograph looks as though it would feel different when you touched it. |

Minimal Edit PAD 1 "Deer Eyes"by noranekoComment: How in the world did you get so close? That's a wonderful crop (by that I mean the way you cropped with the camera). Very sweet. And you do know that with the RAW you can get to where the jpeg is, right? Nice choices of camera settings for this. Lovely photo! |

Minimal-Day-1Web2.jpgby cogeroxComment: I'll comment on this one since sharpening is allowed in minimal editing challenges. I really like the leading lines of the planted field - strawberries, maybe? And the pink of the trees beyond - very nice! This would be an excellent candidate (I think) for a light bit of tonemapping and a bit of contrast. A very pretty shot! |

Day 1by HipychikComment: Very striking color in the sky! The building behind is a wee bit distracting but you can probably crop that if you wish. Love the tree, too. |

1 Sec Heron, Minimal PAD.by MelonMusketeerComment: Wow - was that handheld for a second? At any rate, it's pretty darn good for a second on a living thing. I love the dark blue of the water - very pretty! |

Fringeby AliciaComment: Nice diagonal comp, and when you edit you can always get rid of that little thing in the corner. I hate when stuff creeps in and you don't see it! Nice job controlling the exposure for an "into the sun" shot. |

DAY 2. minimal edit project . gumsby rozComment: Great light in this one. And yes, a bit more sharpness in processing should add some life and kick to it - maybe take out a WEE bit of yellow. Or not - I'd not know without seeing it. |

Day 1 - Churchby Bruce_the_RobertComment: Excellent composition straight out of the camera, if you ask me. Very nicely framed by the tree branches, and good sky - ie the clouds add interest and texture. Nice detail on the stone face of the steeple and the red line along the roof apex adds nice color to contrast the sky. About the only suggestion I can think of for editing is to whiten the clouds a bit. Nice job! |
