Knitting Lessonsby sfaliceComment: She looks a bit grumpy - I'm gonna guess that knitting lessons won't cheer her up. :-) While there may be a connection between the passerby and the sign, the space between the two creates a rather significant disconnect which leaves the photo feeling awkward and unpurposed. The overall harshness of the light that time of day doesn't help your case, either. |

The Sous Chefby Brent_SComment: A great location to stake out! Only wish he'd been a bit more interesting in his demeanor or pose or something. he seems sort of in-between - between steps, halfway between taking a drag, etc. and for some reason that creates an imbalance of sorts to me. Great work with the exposure and tones in camera! |

Stand 23by rooumComment: Ah! Wonderful catch. The light on the faces is just right. You get the feeling they've been waiting places together for more years than most of us have been around. |

Au revoirby pjotre7Comment: A lovely candid - very engaging, well exposed and composed. I'm a bit unsure of the connection to HCB, other than the title in French and the shot in B&W. Then again, I'm not an expert by any means! |

Old Bazaarby tomeComment: A bit desolate and rather "static" feeling. Not much going on here and it feels that way. An interesting collection of languages on the signs, though! |

The Way We Wereby thrumyiisComment: Great place to wait for a good shot - and you were rewarded! Good exposure, in-camera processing, framing. |

ruinby posthumousComment: Good combination of shape, form, tones. It does beg a few questions - what is in ruins? The person or the structure? |

Wait !! ... Just One Kissby JuliBocComment: Ha!! What fun! Awesome title. too. Would have been even better had you got someone coming toward the "prince". But a good catch!! |

moment of calmnessby Kevin_FlynnComment: I like the laundry. Though the leg is evident and I think I see an arm, I'd like more of the person, or at least have that be a closer view of the person. It does have a sense of calm. |

Look upby ustiebitzComment: Many may wonder where your "decisive moment" is, but HCB did like shape and form. He most often incorporated that with candid moments as well, though. Still, great detail and good exposure control in minimum. Tad oversharpened, perhaps, but hard to get diagonals without jaggies in digital presentations at this size. |
