Desaturate, sharpen.

I could not resist this woman and the expression on her face.
Taken with my little point n shoot through the windshield of my (parked) car.

I would have loved to put a little more contrast in there, but the rules said "no." Yeah, and maybe boost the blacks a bit.

gertrude stein grimly manquee. knitting won't help, and besides in sf there is no there there.

This could have been a really great photo if the person had a badly knit sweater on.

She looks a bit grumpy - I'm gonna guess that knitting lessons won't cheer her up. :-) While there may be a connection between the passerby and the sign, the space between the two creates a rather significant disconnect which leaves the photo feeling awkward and unpurposed. The overall harshness of the light that time of day doesn't help your case, either.

Good exposure, some more contrast would have helped out quite a bit. The sign in the window only serves to enhance the story being told! And hey, you even got a post in the middle of the frame... Distinctly Bresson!
