Hope no models were injured during the making of this photograph! And while you did capture a 'moment', it doesn't carry a lot of impact (other than to Allison just moments after this!) to the viewer (ie me.)

Lots of feet! Interesting layout of the feet. But most would generally want some faces to go with those feet. Though from what I see, I'm going to guess it's a church function of some kind. Don't ask me why I get that impression. Anyway, I generally associate HCB with including more of the faces for the most part.

Nice vignettes of stories here. The boredom of the two on the right - or at least contemplation. The lone cup of coffee - to whom did it belong? The person whose jacket matches the stool tops. Nice slice of life shot.

In the documentary style that he used a bit, yes? A lot sharper but that's due to the difference in equipment. I love the trees up on the hill - nice dichotomy of the straight line obviously planted trees (order) and this fellow's apparent plight (disorder). While I appreciate the lines of your composition, a shot from the left of this, looking up to get more of the line of trees, might be a bit more dynamic?

Ha!! How entirely delightful! And oddly, I'd just read an article about planking or I'd have no idea what the title meant. Fascinating moment. And aren't you glad it wasn't a large, recently fed bird. Do give the sensor a swab when you get a chance. :-)

I'm not entirely sure what you were going for here. An interesting "market" to be sure - definitely a different use for a Blazer. Slice of life kinda thing? It just feels a bit awkward to me. Maybe you needed just a split second more of the gent approaching on the left?

The Critics

The blurred passerby creates the interest for me here. Almost as though the statue is pondering the potential for movement, as unlikely as that may be, and that is echoed by the painting beyond. The gent on the right has no part in any of that, but his being there is not a disturbance.
