Whisperby jenesisComment: This is so nice, it creates a mood that makes me stop and just take this in. Being partially hidden by the flowers is brilliant. This one hits my favorites. |

Loren backlitby jeffzoetComment: This pose has outrageous potential, but her head and expression do not match the implied clawing upwards. Perhaps a head tilted back at a sharp angle implying focus on something above.. or not.. I am no portrait photographer, so take what I say with a grain..or train of salt. |

Raking Texture from a Flowerby rblantonComment: This is pretty much straight out of the camera, not much in photoshop as it is here primarily for the lighting assignment. I'll play with it more later in PS. Thanks for the input!
Ok, now that I'm home and see the original here is what I did, converted to .tif and then auto level, auto contrast and auto color, resize, save as jpeg and voila. Original was a bit darker. I tend to underexpose especically when shooting white in light. Message edited by author 2005-07-15 23:01:55. |

At the Deliby rblantonComment: Not much USM was used, but I did use curves in my raw editor to tame the bright background a bit as well as pop the colors on the butterfly. |

At the Deliby rblantonComment: Thanks. Actually, you are looking at his head, these fellows have unique coloring. His proboscus is down in the flower taking nourishment. You can just make it out in the front of him. |

Journeyby rblantonComment: That is high praise Colette, better than many ribbons. Thank you and those associations with childhood are nice ones to have throughout the years, I am glad this called them to mind. |
