One can certainly understand the silent contemplation - and the silence of absence of the deceased. The circles of the wreaths give added visual interest. It's minor but I do feel that the umbrella shouldn't be cropped by the edge of the frame. If it were completely included, it would feel more like she's 100% in this situation, in this little snapshot of time, instead that escaping umbrella is a link to what's outside the frame. I know that's weird but I think having the key subject wholly enclosed by the frame would benefit the strength of the message.

I'm not quite sure I understand the title/ theme/ message here but the image has some interest - I like the light and shadow shapes in the snow in the patterns of the tracks and feet. Even with that hanging sign there doesn't really seem to be an interesting focal point or structure.

A beautiful subject and the toned black and white suits it well. I'm curious as to whether it would have been stronger if photographed at a different time of day so that the sky didn't wash out to such a bland and empty white?
