I love the viewpoint - it really gives a great feeling of the sport and provides a fascinating angle on that beautiful building behind. Let down by the unattractive dark scaffolding to the right for me but a great action shot.

Thamer, the border colour for each photo in this series is actually different - I used the eyedropper to lift a colour from the image. Perhaps I should have sampled a different area/ tone within this one.

Concentrating on just a small segment of the flag makes this shot more unusual than many stars and stripes images around. I like the composition too with the slightly S shaped curve from blue to white. Lighting seems a little mixed - too shaded in lower area and bright enough on the stars to wash out teh detail of the threads. But nice overall with great cropping.

Absolutely beautiful image and the composition is just so perfect it's the kind of example I can see being displayed in a user guide to composition. Just wonderful lines with the beautiful reflectoins, the way that they form a leading line to the sun, the colours in the sky and water... A real winner. PS This is my absolute favourite in this challenge. LOVE IT!

I like this - the way the old cobbles look against the gleaming metal - and the way you have only the bottom half of someone, all in black. Very enigmatic.
