My Worldby timfythetooComment: Hah, another of these! Cool! Beautifully done, though I'm not completely satisfied with the dominance of the empty parking lot in this image. Still, that's a personal issue isn't it? :-) Good luck to you! |

Mountian Moon Riseby scarbrdComment: It is very unfortunate that the snow (?) on the trees left so closely mimics the stars int he gap. I find it very disconcerting. There is also an overall, dirty yellow/sepia tint to the whites that I don't care for; but otherwise this is very striking and I like it very much. |

generationsby boysetsfireComment: You were utterly robbed IMHO. This was my highest vote in the challenge. Wonderful, startling piece of work. I echo what Rinac commented, this was how I saw it also. Congrats on a stunner! |

Troubleby EvanHComment: You did a hell of a job on this Evan. It would be right at home in the new "experts" challenges :-) I am assuming the hot spot of light on the blade was added, and that the "reflection" is a separate image pasted /blended in? I don't see how the "reflection" can be real, considering the angle of the knife. I'd love to know how you did it. This is a wonderful piece of work, the processing and the lighting are just excellent. |

The Street Vendor by CutterComment: That is EERIE, strange PP. It almost has a sense of being a stage set with a B/w backdrop, I expect the vendor to burst into song. Oddly enough I was looking for "my" hotdog vendor to shoot him in a similar scene except a natural backdrop, but he's folded up for the winter :-)
Can't make up my mind to hate it or love it, which is all-in-all a good thing. I think it would work better for me if the reds were a little more muted, but I'm not sure. Arresting image, anyway, and into the 6 group for holding. |
