Koi Frenzyby rkligmanComment: I don't know why, exactly, but this really tickles my fancy. I'd love to see it with a hint of vignetting to contain the image a tad. Good luck in the scoring! You get a high number from me. |

Restless Sea by mpetersComment: This is lovely. Next time try the "skew" tool in PS to straighten up the vertical of the lighthouse without affecting the angle of the horizon.
I've come back for re-evaluations, and this one is near the top of my pile. Good luck! |

The Sunbatherby muur88Comment: This is in most respects absolutely outstanding. My only problem is that the negative space seems awkwardly composed to me. Perhaps if the camera were rotated a bit more, so the leading edge of the building were a bit more pronounced of a diagonal? In any event, very well seen, unusual as hell, and one of my top picks. |

Dog Days of Fallby jezzieComment: Wowza, this is lovely! Good luck with it! I'm popping this one to the top of my list. It's so vibrant and alive I keep coming back to it. What a happy picture! Well done! |

Blank Generationby surfinbirdComment: Outstanding! You was robbed. Eerily reminiscent of Diane Arbus's famous shot of the kid with the hand grenade in Central park.

Far Away by John WhiteComment: Outstanding. By far the most evocative of the "Far Away" entries I have seen so far. I am returning to this and am still troubled by the slightly off-level horizon, but no matter. Beautiful gradient, wonderful star :-) |

Dirty Little Secretby 99PercentComment: This is quite compelling. I am back to bump it. I fear it's not WOW enough for the usual crowd, but in my book it's very tautly put together and extraordinarily metaphorical. It would display to great advantage as a large print I imagine. Love the truncated foreground and right edge figures. |
