Brand New !!by KaizerComment: This is quite extraordinary. Love the forceps on the umbilical, just so you know I saw it :-) It seems to me, unfortunately, to be oversharpened on the baby's face, especially, but this doesn't really take away from its power. Well done! |

Hana Lilyby BalkoComment: For some reason we have quite a few water lilies this time. Of those I've encountered (I'm a third of the way through) this is the first one that feels to me like it's more than just a well-crafted water lily shot. There's something absolutely luminous and transcendent about this image. Good work.
Bumping up from 7-seeded to 8-scored. |

far awayby smardazComment: I keep coming back to this; there's a quite, serene, perfection to it that's incredibly appealing. Most of my high scores are going to the quirky and off-the-wall images that force me into another way of seeing, but I can't let this one pass me by, so up she bumps :-) If this is your daughter, and if this fairly represents a serene and beguiling personality, then you're a lucky parent :-) |

Parallaxby KaliComment: This is excellent. My first reaction (as I seeded this into my "bump" group on first pass) was that it was close, but that the murky processing had failed the image. I don't think that any longer. I think if you processed it conventionally the parallax would dissipate. It's a powerful, and timeless, shot. Well done and bumping. 9. |

Significant Moments: Learning to Swim!by PaulComment: Or learning to hold his breath underwater at least :-) Beautiful, whimsical shot, makes me feel "right there" with you, not an easy thing to accomplish underwater. Well done. |

Restrainedby pepitoidComment: This is so utterly, vibrantly aggressive it's almost scary. VERY well done. I don't know if the cropping through the horse's head was intentional or happenstance, but it's extremely effective. |

Beyond the rock into the great earth beyondby RefwhettComment: This is a place I want to visit... This is beautifully framed, and the partial occlusion of the sun (and its attendant glancing rays) is just beautifully handled. The image as a whole is understated and totally effective.
I need more landscapes att he very top, bumping from 8 to 9 :-) |
