I thought it was fantastic. I gave it an 8. I wonder how much of the negativity stems from the fact that "art", in this case, is not a subject you photographed but, rather, a description of the result. I'm sure that didn't fly well. But a fine, fine image.

That's a strange title, for me: I see this work of art as depicting Icarus falling to his death, conflated with Christ crucified (the pose), and for me this does NOT denote "freedom" in any way. I suppose one's mileage could differ. In any event, I do not deduct for what I consider inapt titles, although I sometimes bonus for excellent ones.

Whoa, that's sweet :-) I've shot a lot of wet roses, but never made one look this heavy... But I know exactly what it's like, that sense of being weighted down. This one was shot back in 2002 with my Fuji P&S...
